Right, well, I've done a fair bit since I last blogged.
Yesterday evening, I went round to Rosie's and we all had pizza, garlic bread and potato wedges for dinner, courtesy of Pizza the Hut. It was pretty good. After that, Rosie and I went to the Odeon to see Love Actually. However, rather excitingly, after about a minute of the adverts at the beginning, all the light and the screen (apart from the emergency lights) went out. There was a power cut. The power was off for maybe 20 minutes or so, but when it came back on, the management decided not to show any films afterall. However, they did provide a full refund, in cash, and we hardly had to queue. Hat's off to them. That would have been a lorra lorra money. We went back to her house and played Trivial Pursuit, and I soon felt the game lived up to it's name.
Today, I got up and walked to Rosie's car, and drove it round to pick Mark up. We went to Budleigh Salterton. As we arrived, Father Christmas drove through in a Lotus, which was very bizarre. We went to a very quaint cafe, and were served by women in victorian frilly dresses. It was quite cheap. For a scone jam and cream (lots of the stuff) and coke I paid just over £2. The beach was good, the waves were nice and choppy. On the way back we stopped off in Exmouth for Mark to look for shoes, but alas, none were found. We drove back to my house and walked into town. Mark found some shoes in Next, but somehow, they had lost the other shoe of the pair. This country. We gave up and went DVD shopping, for Mark. He found 3 for £20 which he liked, and escorted them off the premises. On my way home I picked up chips and a jumbo sausage from the chip shop near the clock tower (I would use it's name, but it's been almost completely obscured behind hanging baskets for years.
Later this evening, in fact very soon, I'm going round to Rebekah's. Gavin is down for the weekend. Incidentally, he has a job! Something to do with an opticians. I'll find out more tonight. He seemed quite blase about it when he mentioned it. Ciao for now.
