Went to Trago Mills this afternoon. It was good. Rosie had never been and when we got there she said something like it was a 'cool place'. She thought it was a bit tacky inside though, which is fair enough; it is. But it does have cheap stuff, and it's a really interesting building outside. It's very hard to find your way round inside. There are lots of halls on split levels all looking very similar.
It's a nice place to go. It's in the middle of nowhere, on the road between Bovey Tracey and Newton Abbott. There is lots to see. There's the big 'shop', millions of kids things, a supermarket, petrol station, used car place, you get the picture.
Some guy that worked there kept walking round the carpet area shouting Mr Matthews....Mr Matthews....Mr Matthews...
After we had spent a while walking around looking at bathrooms, kitchens, fireplaces, carpet, chocolate, paint, clothes, fishing rods, golf balls and toys, we went to one of the many places to eat there. Again, it was cheap and tacky. The food was quite good though. I had pasty chips and beans, and there was nothing to throw back at them. Well a bit of crust and the odd chip. Rosie had a cream tea. However, it was a very new interpretation of what a cream tea involved, as it didn't come with any tea. We both thought that was a plus point though. It's the Devon way.
