Hello there. It's been a good weekend, considering the exams which are looming. On Friday evening Rosie and I went to KFC with Gavin and Rebekah, and then all of us but Rosie came to my house to see Mike.

On Saturday I got up and went to get some cash from the Esso garage, and move my car from the far distant road on which I had to park. Gavin and Rebekah came round at 11 and then we picked up Rosie. We drove to Escot house. http://www.escot-devon.co.uk/ It was nice to get away. There were otters, owls and baby sharks, and that was just the menu. When we got back I did a few hours revision. In the evening, Rebekah went to work, but Gavin, Rosie and I went to Crediton Wetherspoons. They made me pay for all the stuff. Rosie says she'll give me some money soon though.

Sunday was good too. We went to the 11.15 service comme toujours, but afterwards lots of students were invited to John and Kathy Campbells house for lunch. They live in a posh new house just outside Exeter. John is a professor at the Peninsula Medical School in Exeter. We sat in the garden. We had a nice soup, possible leak. Sweet and sour pork for the main course. And a choice of chocolate ice cream, summer fruits pavlova and/or fruit salad pour le dessert. John said I can come and paint his fence in a fortnight, a nice little earner there I hope. I might see if some of the neighbours might too. This evening I did some revision and then Rosie and I went for a walk by the quay.

I have to be in a room in the Queen's Building on campus at 8.40 tomorrow morning. I've got my french oral exam. I'm not feeling overly confident, both in terms of not knowing much to talk about, and not being able to phrase it in perfect french. Better go to bed soon I guess.

Greetings from anonymous land somewhere south of Hertford. Your weekend sounded good. I do like the way your weblogs often revolve around food! Does make me hungry though. Hope the french oral went well.
