Hello. Relatively busy day, but not that interesting to read about I'm afraid. What an opening line, eh. Well I got up about 10 and went out to Charlton Kings with my mum to get her prescription. We went in my car as she'd never been in it before. We went to Twigworth - the scrapyard I seem to go to all the time - to look for some wheel trims for my car and a missing mat from the centre console, but they didn't have any. We stopped for my mum to go to the garden centre. We parked just across from an Astra with the same wheel trims as my car. I could have had them off the Astra and on mine in two shakes of a duck's tale, but I thought the better of it. On the way home we past another scrapyard, so I went in to see if they had any Cavalier's parked up to be crushed. They must have had about 7, and I found one with the mat I needed. No wheel trims though. It was a bit sad watching people drive their car into the yard and watch the fork lift scoop it up and drive it into the bit where they sit for a few months to be stripped by Joe Bloggs. I parked mine a little way off, just to be sure. Found a door which would be great on Rosie's car, but it would probably have been a bit of effort to get it fitted, and it's not like the door is the only rusty bit. Someone was half-inching the tailgate as I eyed it up.

This afternoon I gave the outside of my car a polish. It took quite a while, as there were plenty of scratches to get rid of. It looks a lot better now, but obviously some of the scratches are still there. It looks presentable though. Cleaned my mums up to, as hers was kind of two-tone grey and brown. Hers looks pretty good now.

My car's being serviced on Thursday, so I should be able to go back to Exeter early next week.
