Well, today I got up and phoned Directline to cancel one of the insurance policies I'd sorted out for the car over the internet. The site didn't appear to be working, so I did it twice, and ended up with two identical policies. I also joined the AA. Always the optimist.
Drove to Rosie's in the afternoon. Strange driving a car so similar to my mums but with some differences. The clutch feels a million years newer (the clutch has only done 19,000, as opposed to my mum's 141,000), but I kept thinking one of the rear headrests was a car on my bumper. And seeing the bonnet was green kept confusing me slightly.
When I got there Rosie and I went for a quickish walk around town to post a cheque to Mike. In the evening we all had Lasagne and then watched Inspector Morse. I once watched 18.5 hours of Morse in a 24 hour period. Lots of murders. Half of Oxford died before my eyes. I remember thinking about this as I was watching it, and this seemed to explain the fact that there was no one on the roads today, especially around Oxford...
