Just another manic Monday. Got up at 9 and moved the car from it's temporary spot. Then I went into town to get some tax and a parking permit. Getting the tax was easy enough, although expensive (£165) but getting the permit proved to be an amusing adventure. First of all I had to have an id tag made for me. Then I had to get the lift to the fourth floor, and find a desk with door bells stuck to it. To speak to someone about a permit was one ring on the bell. It was two rings to speak about something else and there was another doorbell for some other area of interest. It cost £3, but it runs out at the end of June. Then if I want another one which would last me till the July 18th when I leave this house it will cost me another £10 for a full year. This country, eh.
Had a sausage roll for lunch.
Then I set about work. It took a while to finish the Russian translation off, but at 1,200 words it was quite long. Went into town for a break, and bought a pain in the chocolate and a bottle of coke and sat in cathedral green. Came home and cooked pie and chips badly. Rosie came round to use my computer whilst Mike, Pete and I went to the big Tesco to stock up on food. Came home and I'm currently cooking a chocolate sponge pudding with some custard to go with it. Have a nice evening. Bye for now.
