Hello there reader. Yesterday afternoon was the Russian Translation exam, and very long it was too. 3 hours intense translation. 3 passages. We were on the St Lukes campus, so there was some novelty value involved. Being in a gym felt quite retro. The exam went ok, not particuarly well, but not disastrous.

Look away now if you are bored by the mentioning of motorised vehicles on this blog...

This morning Rosie's Panda had its MoT. As we thought, they wouldn't be amused by the dodgy lights or the vintage windscreen wiper. But they also found corrosion on the both rear inner sills and sill ends, and on the offside rear chassis. They quoted £270 for the welding, which seems a bit steep. They also found splits in both CV boots. And they said there was play in both front top mounts, which is something I confess to not really understanding fully, but might explain the ominous clonk. Rosie's not sure what she's going to do. The garage said it might be worth fixing, because you can't buy a much better car for £300. But then she says if she doesn't fix it, she saves £300, and doesn't have to buy insurance for £350 in a few weeks. She's got a week to think about it. Answers in the comments box please...
