Hello there, Gavin said I should blog, so I thought, well, why not?

It's been one mother of a week. I have been doing lots of decorating still. It pays the bills. And it keeps me out of trouble. I've done three rooms in Mark and Lindsay Edwards house now, and I'll be there most of this week.

I bought a couple of shirts for my new job from Cheery Cheerio or whatever - Ciro Citterio?? Two for £15 - not bad.

Tomorrow evening I'm going to look at a bedsit in Alphington, which is on the south edge of Exeter. It backs onto Sainsbury's Alphington and is cheap. I spoke to the landlord on the phone and he was very suspicious of me as I'm so young and was only a student last year. He thinks I'm going to bring "boozy blokes back on a Saturday night". This country. He says he's prepared to meet me and see what I'm like. Innocent until proven guilty and all that.

Gavin is here. We went to the Cowley Bridge Inn and the Three Horseshoes last night with Mark and Rosie. Mark's gone away for a silent retreat. This should mean he won't be able to start arguments with people about their lexis and syntax. We had lunch at the flat today, care of Rosie's old housemate Gill. I'm still eating her food. We're going to mine for pancakes this evening.
