Well bargain hunters, today I have been out and about in the fair county of Surrey. I went to Mark's this morning and got there just before 12. Nice drive, nice and sunny. Rosie was coming too, but she got a puncture and had to wait a fair while for her spare wheel to be rehabilitated from the boot to the road. While we were waiting for her to arrive, Mark and I did the washing up. Mark jollied me along with cries of "What are you doing???", "You don't need to be doing that, you know", and an intermittent "Why?" My particular favourite was "What on earth do you think you're playing at?"

Anyway, while Mark and I were debating with his Dad what the purpose of a steering wheel is, Rosie showed up. I think she was quite happy to arrive. We went into town and Mark suggested we go to Boots for a 'meal deal' for lunch. In the end I think I was the only one who got a meal deal, but it went down a treat. Some random guy who walked by said "Give us a bite", but nothing ever came of it. I had enough to bite in my hands without testing members of the public's nervous systems for them.

We headed for the Pigeon Putt place near Frimley. Mark won by his skin's teeth with (I think) 44, and Rosie and I both got (I think) 46, although I wasn't that worried about the score. I lost a golf ball on the first shot - easy come easy go. Amid the confusion, I've just realised that Rosie paid for my replacement ball - handy.

Rosie had to go home about 4, so I went too, as the day seemed to reach a logical climax. This evening I have been cleaning paint off socks and tidying my room a little more. I also looked at some Russian notes from lectures in the first year. I was really quite lame to be fair. Let's hope I don't keep up the bad work. I am itching to get back to the land of Exeter now. It seems about 25 years since my shoes trod it's poorly lit pavements in search of a random place to eat and drink. Still, I should be there in 3 weeks now. Thanks for playing, take care, bye.
