Hello there. Just got back from town. Not a great deal has changed there. There are some new shops, but none of any interest to me. They're mainly girls clothes shops. So, Cheltenham is still there, looking quite regent.
What was amusing though, was driving the Cavalier. I got in and turned the key and within about 1 second the engine was running! No use of the throttle was needed to prevent it from spluttering to a halt. Furthermore, it didn't die at any point, and made no loud squeals. I was able to turn the steering wheel easily with a couple of fingers, and the gearbox not only didn't ask to be thrown through the bulkhead when first and third gear were selected, but indeed refused to be. A light dab on the throttle was all that was required to pull away on anything other than a gentle incline. The brakes, for the first time ever, seemed good.
I have ordered some timber, insulation and chipboard for the loft. It's supposed to be coming on Wednesday morning.
My mum told me what I'm going to get for Christmas. It's some money for some clothes. Which will be useful. I can get rid of those jeans with the increasingly embarrassing hole.
