Today has been quite intense. I meant to wake up about 9 and go out, but I was awoken at 10.30 by my Mum inviting me to go and get her car battery checked. The reason I slept till so late was I was watching A Touch of Frost on video last night until something like 1.30. It was very well done I thought.

Anyway, the guy who checked the battery was less than amused with it (It was the original 9 and a half year old one) and a replacement was sourced, and fitted. Called into B&Q for paint for the porch. Soft Peach if you were interested.

Sadly, when the new battery was fitted, it reset the radio, which meant the code needed putting in again. Which we didn't seem to have anywhere. This is the third radio we've had, so I tried lots of the old codes (didn't know which were old) and it blocked the radio. I managed to get the radio out the dashboard and luckily there was a nice little sticker on top with the code on! I stress it's not original - they don't come from the factory like that! Anyway, after waiting 30 minutes for it to unblock, I keyed in the right one and the magical words "Radio 1" shot onto the screen. Definitely the moment of the day.

Progress in the porch is going slowly. I'm being a bit fussy I think, trying to fill in all the imperfections. I'm going to start painting it soon though.

Rosie is coming tomorrow, which will be a welcome break from, well, just a welcome break.
