Today I shot out of bed like a missile and painted the porch ceiling twice in white. It looks ok, the cracks seem to have vanished. Bob's your uncle.

Rosie arrived about 12 and we had lunch in the garden on the chair which jigs about. After this we went into Cheltenham and looked around the shops and admired the pedestrianisation. But after a while we decided to go to Bourton on the Water as the weather was fabtastic. Rosie took me into all the old people's shops, which wasn't as bad as it sounds. We sat by the river for a bit, too.

For dinner we had fried egg, which Rosie liked as she says she never has them.

In the evening I entertained Rosie like a true gentleman by leaving her to her own devices and stripping some of the wallpaper off in my brother's old room. Only for a while though. In the end we watched Top Gun, which Rosie had never seen. After Rosie went to bed, I watched a film about an invisible man, so I didn't get to sleep till going on 2am.
